The bridge construction division of the Waagner-Biro Stahlbau Group operates internationally in the fields of bridge construction, mechanical and steel construction and railway construction. Waagner-Biro is a full-range supplier in the steel bridge construction area and the world’s number two in system bridges. Its portfolio spans the design, delivery and installation of supporting structures as steel or composite constructions for system bridges (modular truss girder and panel bridges) and architectural bridges. A relatively new business segment is the development and installation of movable roof structures – an advancement of the existing business with movable bridges. The excellent reputation in its core markets, especially in Europe, Asia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the newly opened up African growth market, plays a decisive role in the acquisition of new projects.
