Employees
Attractive work environment
It is a matter of concern to Waagner-Biro that all its employees find a positive work environment and possibilities of development according to their abilities. With numerous measures the Group not only meets its legally stipulated obligations as employer but also contributes with voluntary services to create a positive everyday work environment for its employees. Thereby it tries wherever possible to cater for the needs of its employees.
Schooling and further training
In view of the Waagner-Biro Group’s growth and internationalisation strategy, employee qualifications and expertise constitute a fundamental element in sustained business success. Therefore, regular and comprehensive schooling and further training represent absolute Group priorities. The personnel development focus is on internal and external courses relating to technical innovations, project management and improvements in the foreign language skills of all employees.
Safety at work
Waagner-Biro regards safety at work of its employees as being of special importance. Compliance with all the relevant regulations and standards in this regard is monitored and documented across the individual Group business areas by the Legal Department and the respective quality management units.
Health
Our employees’ health is a precious resource of our company. Our health policy is therefore oriented towards continuous optimisation of the physical, psychic and social conditions of work. In this respect the work life balance of our employees is a matter of special concern for us.
Society
Companies shape our daily life through products, services, jobs and value added. For Waagner-Biro the safeguarding of fundamental social principles such as human rights or the principle of equality goes without saying. Therefore we put special emphasis on responsible economic management and respond to the needs of those societies in which the companies of the Waagner-Biro Group are active.
Environment
At the manufacturing locations of the Waagner-Biro Group the applicable national legal stipulations with regard to environmental protection and nature protection are strictly observed. Engineering is carried out in the offices and therefore has little impact on the environment. Local installation services are carried out nearly without any remains. An important focus of Waagner-Biro’s environmental policy is therefore on the economical use of resources and the selection of renowned sub-suppliers which are reliable also with regard to environmental questions. An important environmental aspect of steel construction is corrosion protection. Waagner-Biro selects the corresponding methods according to the generally accepted state of the art.
