The Waagner Biro panel bridge is a modular bridge system which can be easily adapted to different span widths, deck widths and the applicable load by means of the panel by panel construction method using modular, exchangeable elements. Central to the panel bridge is the panel comprising standard members welded to form a truss girder frame. It is available with a system height of 2.15m and a system length of 3.048m (10 feet). The main trusses of the bridge are formed by connecting several panels by bolts (behind, next to and above one another). Standardised transoms are available in deck widths of 3.15m, 4.20m and 7.35m. The deck comprises steel elements with non-slip surfaces; a wooden surface on steel longitudinal girders is also possible.
