The „Fly” is equipped with the following components: three phase asynchronous motor with duty type according to the customer’s requirements, double brake, special gear, gear limit switch, encoder, load measuring bolt in SIL-3 design, slack rope guard and overwinding guard, solid borne sound insulation and rope drum with a diameter of 117 mm. The fly combines mechanical and electronic equipment in one compact unit. The winch is mainly made of high grade aluminium so that its total weight amounts to only 175 kg.
Lifting heights of up to 29 m, loads of up to 400 kg and load-controlled lifting speeds of up to 1.8 m/s are possible. The maximum rope diameter is 6.5 mm. Design and components meet the high demands of BGV C1.

The „Fly” is a silent and reliable point hoist requiring little maintenance. Its combination with a rail system on the sheave grid ensures rapid and flexible use. In order to achieve optimum performance for use as stage machinery Waagner Biro specially developed all main components in cooperation with renowned partners.
