    Waagner-Biro Stage Systems was awarded a contract for the refurbishing of the under stage machinery of the Deutsche Opr Berlin in November 2005.

    The scope of the work, which was completed in two phases in 2006 and 2007, encompassed stage podia with a trap lift, tilting devices and automatic trapdoors, new orchestra platforms, siede stage wagon and backstage wagon drive system, as well as the complete under stage control system. The second construction phase was completed on schedule in autumn 2007 with the handover to the customer.
